Purpose. Intention. Memories. Impact.

New Leaf Paper is a founding B Corporation. In 2007, we became a Certified B Corp after a strenuous 3rd party audit evaluating how we use business as a force of good within the following sectors: Environment, Workers, Community, Governance, and Customers.

As a B Corp, we continuously report on all aspects of our business and the contributions we are making. Philanthropic programs are critical to B Corp's efforts to impact the world positively. Recently, I met a couple of B Corp leaders, and they shared how their company gives back to the community. If you have yet to meet them, it is a pleasure to introduce you to:

Thanksgiving Coffee Company has been in business for over 50 years with a mission to enhance the well-being of everyone they touch, from coffee growers to coffee drinkers. They are pioneers in the fair-trade specialty coffee model and prioritize supporting their team and communities. They even have a pollinator-friendly campus and program dedicated to restoring and preserving habitats! Every cup of their coffee helps achieve their B Corp goals to increase the health and happiness of farmers, create meaningful work for their team, support regional communities, and increase coffee's positive impact on our planet. Read their recent Impact Report to understand how they use coffee as a medium for change!

A B Corp for over a decade and a member of 1% for the Planet, Narrative Food operates with a "Designed to Give" impact model, donating at least 2% of all sales to non-profits with a shared interest in changing the world. Narrative Food's thoughtfully curated gift boxes tell stories of people and places, each gift supporting a related non-profit. Within their eco-friendly packaging, these boxes feature small-batch foods as well as giving customers a give-back program where they can choose to support one of three non-profits: World Central Kitchen, which provides meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises; Healthy Island Project, which assists with local community health needs in Deer Isle, ME; or We the Change, a B Corp community of women leaders focused on creating a radically inclusive and regenerative global economy.

We at New Leaf Paper recently designed New Leaf Green Notes™, elegant pocket-size memo books representing (3) trees endangered in North America: American Chestnut, Ash, and Giant Redwood. All memo components are sustainable - 100% post-consumer fiber paper, USA-made, printed with vegetable inks, vegan, and 3% of the proceeds from these products go to non-profits working to restore these trees to their native ranges. Additionally, a donation is made to plant a new tree for every product sold through One Tree Planted.

Our three companies are making a difference in our communities and the world through our thoughtful and innovative approaches to giving back. As we approach the holiday season, let's support businesses committed to creating a better world for all.
